Information and Referral Service

We try to answer all your social service questions regarding Developmental Disabilities, Housing, Low Income, Medical, Dental, Services for infants and children, Prescription Assistance, Utility Assistance, Meal Sites or Food Pantries and More.

Information and Referral Services are provided free of charge, have no income guidelines and are provided to anyone. Walk-in and Holiday services require you to be a Harrison County resident.

Information and Referral Services is funded through the United Way of Harrison County, FEMA and local donations.

Walk in Services

Utility Termination Service
Electric, Gas, Water, Garbage. Must provide DHHR referral, termination notice, social security cards for household, proof of income, list of monthly expenses.
*First come first served while funds available

Emergency Food Services
Must provide social security cards for household, proof of income, and list of monthly expenses
*Must have a residence *One food order every thirty days

Rent (limited)
Must provide social security cards, proof of income, monthly expense list
*Based on case by case while funds are available

Clothing / Furniture
*Requirements and limitations apply

Prescription
Must provide social security cards, proof of income and monthly expense list.
*No controlled medications *While funds are available
